If you could invite 1 person to a dinner party – who would it be and why?
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson – He’s the self-proclaimed “hardest working man in showbiz” and you can really see that. I’d love to know what motivates him and how he manages to juggle so many commitments.
What motivates you? Makes you happy?
I’m not entirely sure yet and I don’t think that’s a problem. I have a huge amount of drive to be successful but that’s always been there. I’m at my happiest when I can give back to friends and family.
What advice would you give your 10-year-old self?
You don’t know all the answers yet so stop trying to pretend like you do.
If you could make 1 global change – what would it be?
Move as quickly as possible to a fossil fuel free world.
What are your Top 3 achievements?
Convincing my wife to marry me, building a great team @ GradTouch and realising my limitations/flaws.
What does sustainability mean for you?
It means long term thinking and planning where teams, businesses, countries work towards a vision of what the future could and should be and forfeiting shorter-term profits for great longer-term rewards.
What was the most important event/influence that changed your perspective?
When you start a business, you believe that everything will happen overnight. But the most rewarding projects take time to cultivate and develop. Over the last few years, I’ve shifted my mind set away from the short term and instead have become obsessive with longer term focusses.
