Smart buildings, vertical farms, blockchain, AI, electric vehicles, lab grown meat… Innovation and technology are responding quickly to provide possible solutions to our local and global challenges. But we must recognise, technology is a double-edged sword – good or bad simply depend on how we use it. We must understand that whilst technology has its place, we should be responsible and considerate in implementing it. Technology can bring us nearer to – or drive us even further away from – solving social and environmental issues.
